"I am now completely cut from the scene ... what now operates is a conspiracy-type of politics" -- Jackson Anthony

Artiste Jackson Anthony who played a conspicuous role among artistes linked to politics during last president Mahinda Rajapaksa's tenure is observed silent these days. Though presidential heat is on, he has not participated in any public occasion and in this context news circulate that he is in a depressed mood which is the outcome of his silence. He has explained reasons to a newspaper today as follows:

"I for a period of time was thinking that a political leap is good. Because if the issue borders on the
regulation of the administration of this country ... I was self-motivated to supply some sort of  'fertiliser' for political ideals and opinions of those political regulations during a certain time as such. 

I never had a desire for politics, hearts of hearts. But of course I for sometime tended to some advice to those persons. But by now I have decided that access to ideological politics is useless. But then it has come to a position where this is something that none of us know where like the strategical underworld,  from where it emerges and from where the volcano explodes ... an absolute conspiracy . 

There's no use in underworld political ideologies. Even the contestant is at a loss to understand who he is. Everybody is in a state of hallucination. That fear suits the underworld. Therefore I identify present politics as a type of conspiratorial underground politics. Ideologies don't have a place in underworld politics. Access to politics in my case is ideological. Some things were added to it.  I still acknowledge what I have said and done. I believe even today that if it was properly inquired into, it would prove right. 

Today, politics in Sri Lanka is politics of slave-parties. Party-slavery is more savage than political party-slavery. I have no interest at all from such partial slave-conspiracy politics. As such ... I don't even look back on politics!
