World's mega airport opens in Beijing, China

Beijing Daxing International Airport constructed in the city of Beijing in China was opened day before yesterday (25) by China's president Xi Jinping.  This airport which takes the shape of a starfish extends to 700,000 square feet and would be written in history as the biggest airport in the
world. This new airport equipped with more modern facilities and after the opening it would be in use instead of the old Beijing International Airport where operations were directed from. President of China said at the opening ceremony that this in future would turn out to be the busiest airport in the world. Opening of the airport coincides with the 70th anniversary of China coming under communist rule which then is a speciality.  

This airport comprises of eight runaways. The designer of the airport is Iraq - British national architect Saha Hardidi. It is understood that facilities could be provided for over 100 million airline passengers per year. In any case, it was planned to operate this airport at its maximum capacity by the year 2040. Several, both foreign and local flights have taken steps to operate to and fro at this new airport. The total cost expended for erection of this airport is 17.5 American dollars.
