UNP provincial council member who said, "We can go without helmets!" ... arrested with her sister
An incident where a provincial council member of Wennappuwa was taken into police custody together with her sister for having obstructed police officers in their duties was reported day before yesterday. Some person has captured the said incident on video and had handed it over to police. Thus after Marawila police had reported the incident to Marawila court, it was ordered that the said suspects be taken into custody and to produce them before court. The suspects are expected to be produced before Marawila magistrate court today (21).
