How Wennappuwa councillor Dulakshi who tried thuggery to police with nangi (video)

Court has decided today to remand UNP Wennappuwa provincial council member and one of her younger sisters till next 30th over the issue of obstructing duties of police officers while another younger sister who was in their company was released on bail. The suspect taken into custody in relation to the said incident was councillor Warnakulauriya Dulakshi Chamodari Fernando of just 21 years of age. She is a resident of No. 32, Thunmodera, North Sirigampola, Wennappuwa.

A sister of hers had been riding a motor cycle sans a helmet when the sisters have come under inspection of police and were charged for offences of high speeding, not in possession of a driving licence and other relevant licences. Her sister who was a councillor has arrived on the scene together with another sister and her father and have responded in a threatening manner. Under these circumstances the PC member and a sister were taken into custody. The other sister and father have taken to their heels. 

The two arrested were produced before Marawila court today and the two of them were sent to remand prison. Thus, councillor Dulakshi and the other sister Warnakulasuriya Supuni Dulanjani who was under warrant were remanded till 30th. Nimasha Navanjali Fernando (16) and councillor's father, Saman Ashok Kumar Fernando were released on bail. The video regarding the said incident is seen below.
