Schoolgirl caught after eloping in midnight stealthily ...  unaware of grandma, by keeping pillows in bed -- Lover tied to a tree by villagers!

A 16 year old boy of Damunupola, Wanduradeniya has eloped with a shoolgirl of the same age living close to a nearby house. In this context, relatives of the schoolgirl have got hold of the boy concerned and after tying him to a tree yesterday (27) has later handed him over to police in the morning. Thus it is a boy who has given up schooling and living in Wanduradeniya, Damunupola, Kegalle who was taken into custody by police. 

What police said in this case is that the boy concerned had struck up a friendship with the schoolgirl
some months back. The grandmother (kiri amma) of the schoolgirl lives in an adjoining house. Police say that this girl had been residing in her grandmother's house for the sake of paying attention to her ... even from her small-days. Police also adds that this girl even has got used to sleeping in the nights on the same bed and in her company. 

The girl has from a number of months got involved in a romance with a 16 year old boy who has given up schooling and in the neighbourhood. Day before yesterday the 26th in the afternoon the boy has told the schoolgirl that he would come to the house at midnight and to come out of the house on the sly without letting her kiri amma know about it. Close upon midnight around 11 in the night the young boy has gone to her lover's house. At that moment the schoolgirl as usual had gone to sleep with her grandmother. Police say that at that moment the grandmother had fallen asleep while the schoolgirl had been awake keeping her fingers crossed till her lover arrived. After arrival, the boy has even sent her an SMS across her mobile phone to notify her that he had come. Subsequently, the girl in order to give the impression that she is on bed had arranged three pillows lengthwise near the grandmother and had covered them up with a cloth and had come out of the house; eloping with her lover. 

The grandmother after a short while had awoken and on checking whether her niece was there, had realised that she has left the house by keeping only three pillows. Subsequently she had informed the girl's parents who were living closeby. Later the schoolgirl's parents and relatives had carried out a search around. They had then seen the couple hiding in a shrub and in a dreamworld of romance. Later the girl's parents had assaulted the young man and after phoning 119 emergency number explaining the incident. Consequently sergeant Dayananda (16241) Kegalle police headquarters crime investigation unit has visited the house referred to and apprehended the boy. He was thus escorted to Kegalle police station.
