Plan to launch second attack by Zaharan's 'Abu' group ... covering all 9 districts

It was revealed at preliminary police inquiries that the 18 terrorist members who have undergone training in training camps in Nuwara eliya and Hambantota in the company of terrorist leader Mohammed Zaharan who spearheaded the Easter Sunday attack and are already taken into custody by Amparai police was a batch who had taken oaths already and were prepared for the second attack. 

It was further revealed that this batch of members were activists of prohibited terrorist organisations
such as National Thawheed Jamath and Jamathe Millathe Ibrahim and that they have been bestowed the name of honour called "Abu" by Mohommed Zaharan. Police say that Mohommed Zaharan was was identified over the terrorist network by the honourable name "Abu Ubaida". 

Prior to launching the Easter Sunday attack Mohommed Zaharan together with terrorists who were suicide-bombers had taken their oaths by being dressed in black-coloured clothing with faces covered and with a sharp knife in hand while using a screen to identify the terrorist organisation with oaths also being taken for the suicide-blasts to be executed and these 18 terrorists had even taken oaths at Nuwara eliya camp, it was revealed by police sources. 

Police news sources say that they had planned to launch a massive attack at several places within the country. Secret information keeps steaming in that this terrorist members had planned to carry out this attack on one the main religious festivals of this country and to launch a huge attack on the 9 districts at the same time and the same day, police news further report. These 19 terrorist suspects presently under custody of Amparai police have undergone a two-week training session on explosives and firearms in Nuwara eliya and Hambanthota camps, it was revealed at investigations. Information was revealed further that suicide-bomber, deceased Mohommed Zaharan and his second in command, presently under custody of criminal investigation department, Naufer Moulavi had trained these 18 terrorist members. These 18 suspects were taken into custody during investigations conducted in this connection under direct supervision of police superintendent in charge of Amparai division, Mr. Gayantha Marapona. 

A majority of them were residents of Mawanella and were of the ages between 20 and 27, police sources had said. They had a good education and two of them were students of Oluvil university while another was an engineer at Moratuwa university. Video-recording and photographs captured before taking oaths prior had been erased from the computers by then and investigation teams had launched action to retrieve those, police news say. The news added that a part of them are detained at terrorist investigation under detention orders and are being interrogated. 

Two suspects were accosted yesterday (27) in this relevance in Amparai by Amparai police. The two arrested were Mohammadu Raiuddian Abdul Rahuman alias 'Abuanas' who had been trained in Nuwara eliya camp and Seinul Abdeen Hasla alias 'Aburawa' who had undergone training in Hambanthota. These two are residents of Polgolla and Mawanella, police say.
