7 Filipinos who engaged in prostitution apprehended in Colpetty hotel
7 male Filipinos who posed as females and one Russian female were apprehended at a hotel in Colpetty by emigration and immigration department surveillance and intelligence unit.
This racket had been going on quite successfully across internet with photos of these males posing off
as females. This is the first time that a group like this appearing as foreign males engaging in prostitution has been taken into custody. It came to be known that this group has arrived in this country under the monthly free visa concession allowed them and have thus engaged in this type of sexual activity. It was understood that a sum of Rs. 25000 was charged by them for one session. Suspects so arrested are detained at Mirihana detention camp.
