27 year old doctor who fixed CCTV in women's toilet at Anuradhapura hospital ... nabbed!

A case was filed against a suspect-doctor of having fixed a CCTV camera in women's toilet of finance division of Anuradhapura teaching hospital by court operations division of Anuradhapura police headquarters and the case was filed in the presence of Anuradhapura chief magistrate, Mr. Janaka Prasanna Samarasingha. 

The case was filed according to legal advice given in writing by attorney general saying that there is
information sufficient enough to file a case against the suspicious doctor. It was after a court order issued based on investigations being forwarded to attorney general. The said complaint when taken up before once again in the presence of chief magistrate, Anuradhapura, the case was filed against the suspect-doctor. It was further ordered that the suspect-doctor on whom the case has been filed in court for having fixed a CCTV camera in a women's toilet in Anuradhapura teaching hospital appear in Anuradhapura chief magistrate court on 15th next month. The CCTV camera which was fixed in the women's toilet of the accounts division of Anuradhapura teaching hospital was taken into police custody and data of the CCTV camera was forwarded to operations manager of emergency response circle of Colombo Bandaranaika Memorial Hall as requested by court from Anuradhapura police headquarters before this and according to that order the said report was forwarded to court by Anuradhapura police headquarters.

It is a married doctor aged 27 years who has faced charges in court for this offence and he is a resident of Katubedda. These charges are levelled against him in court while serving in ward 30 of Anuradhapura teaching hospital. Officers of Anuradhapura police headquarters forwarding the first B report to court and said was that director of Anuradhapura teaching hospital, Mr. Dulan Siriwardena Samaraweera has made a complaint to Anuradhapura police headquarters to the effect that somebody has fixed a CCTV camera in a women's toilet in the account's division of Anuradhapura teaching hospital. 

The suspect-doctor who has been accused in connection with this incident has surrendered to Anuradhapura police headquarters through Anuradhapura police hospital and has said that he had seen a CCTV camera fixed inside the women's toilet of the accounts division of Anuradhapura teaching hospital and that a statement has been given to police by an officer of the accounts division of that hospital. Police informed court that it was revealed at preliminary investigations that a labourer engaged in cleaning services had noticed the said doctor going in and out of this women's toilet. Police at that point informed court that it was further mentioned that this suspect-doctor admitted that it is he who fixed a CCTV camera in the women's toilet in Anuradhapura teaching hospital and handed over a letter to the director of Anuradhapura teaching hospital. 

Speaking on behalf of this doctor, attorney at law, Mr. Ranjith Rajakaruna informed that all charges made by the petitioner against the said doctor are rejected.
