IS Muslim who was a three-wheel driver ... suddenly becomes  millionaire -- Rizwan suspected of heroin ... arrested in Mabole

The freedom given to security personnel for inspection operations these days to check persons irrespective of their status for the sake of public safety is of course an important tendency of action.

A millionaire businessman suspected as having connections with IS terrorists as well as underground kingpin Makandure Madush was taken into custody last afternoon (15) by officers of Western Province Intelligence Division and of Police Special Task Force. A firearm too has been taken into
custody. This person known as M.Z.M. Rizwan is an organiser of Pohottu party and is someone who contested Wattala - Mabole municipal council at last local government elections. 

10 years before this prior to year 2009 this person has spent a life with difficulty by driving a three-wheeler is now the owner of a cargo shipping company and also runs a container yard in Anamaduwa area, it was revealed at police inquiries. Though how he transformed into a millionaire in a short space of time gives rise to suspicion, he has developed well in the aspect of political connections and has strengthened himself with a formidable ring in a manner that nobody can conduct any inquiries. 

Police were able to find that this millionaire businessman called Rizwan has built a massive house with three floors in Mabole area and is also the owner of a another luxury house nearby and that his wife and two children are living in these houses. Swimming pools are to be found on topmost floors of both these houses. 

An so far unidentified pistol made in Germany and a stock of ammunition were found in possession of the suspect and were taken into custody, police say. He was in possession of two passports and those have been taken into police custody for further investigation. The suspect has travelled to several countries with the help of these passports and it is reported that in those foreign travels he has entered Dubai too and in the process has maintained intimate connections for some time with Makandure Madush supposed to be an underground chief and latter's colleague, Kanjipani Imran. He in fact has taken lodging in Dubai in houses of Madush and Kanjipani. A suspicion has cropped up that he is involved in collecting funds for operational activities of Muslim underground heroin dealings of IS Organisation. In the same way, there is suspicion whether he is among local businessmen who provided funds to the Zaharan group in the instance of Easter Sunday attacks. Police have said that they hope to detain Rizwan for purposes of interrogation.
