CID take Namal Kumara into custody
Operations director of anti-corruption force, Namal Kumara was taken into custody by criminal investigation department. He was so arrested when he was present at Warakapola police station for the purpose of recording a statement. During the tensed situation which prevailed in Hettipola, Namal Kumara's presence there was captured and spotlighted across the media.
At this point a heated exchange of words had flared up between Namal Kumara and member of
parliament, Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekera, it was reported. Warakapola police were in fact searching for Namal Kumara to take him into custody. Reports were published that sometime back Namal Kumara who created an uproar concerning a conspiracy to assassinate President had got together with Amith and others in unison when Amith had got involved in Digana incidents before that.
