News about gazetting elections on April 15th or a political decision is to be launched

News is circulating that a special decision is to be notified to the public next April 15th Monday. Political sources further state that it could well be concerning the forthcoming Presidential Election. Reports say that a leading media network has been enlightened to e alert to announce this special news. 

Through propaganda moves of President Maithripala Sirisena these days it further gives the indication that the Presidential Elections will be called for. In the meantime, the SLFP and Sri Lanka
Podu Jana Peramuna is discussing debatable issues continuously in respect of various matters being placed in a quandary as to whether it is Gota or Maithri who is to be chosen as the Presidential candidate for the forthcoming Presidential Elections as an alliance. 

Since this issue could not be settled at the time the budget voting sessions were in progress; under such a situation the said voting ended with the two factions splitting apart. It is the opinion of political experts that if Maithri's decision comes through on Monday ... even if the Presidential Election does not materialize, a general election is on the cards. 

Whatever it is, according to law the President has the option of calling a  general election only after March, 2020 but has no objection where the Presidential Election is concerned. If not, news about a clear cut division or unison between the SLFP and SLNF will come to be known that day, it is understood.
