Others cornered because of video footage of Madush's father's funeral -- police on track of Kevuma's lover, assistant librarian

While leading accomplices of Makandure Madush are being cornered with weapons and heroin, his underground nefarious underground activities are coming into the open. It was after the supposed accomplice of Maush, Kevuma alias Klum being arrested that location of the place where the diamond thought valued at 500 crores which was assumed to have been robbed by Madush was hidden. 

It  was on a tip off given by Hemal Ranjana, an owner of a telecommunication in Peliyagoda and two others called Kasun, Sandaruwan that Kelum was apprehended. This person called Hemal Ranjana,
owner of the telecommunication has carried on his business while the other two were those connected to the diamond robbery. Hemal Ranjana had operated his telecommunication in Kaduwela. It has been revealed that he has had the ability of videoing and that it was he who has undertaken the duty of covering proceedings of Madush's father's funeral on instructions issued by Madush. 

A DVD in fact was found by police in the rented out house of Kevuma which was subjected to inspection in Moratuwa two days before this. Kevuma who is presently under custody has told that a copy of the said DVD was sent to Madush during the funeral period. Police special task force has got down to tracking underground members who had visited the funeral house with the aid of this video which carried recordings of Madush's father's funeral. 

In the meantime, Kelum Indika alias Kevuma has appeared by the name 'Samantha', thus hiding his genuine name and approached owners of the Moratuwa Rawathawattha house to take possession of that rented out house. The couple who were lodging on the top floor of this house were the owners and they have told that he had come with a false identity card with the name Samantha and that a young girl who identified herself as an assistant librarian too had come with him. The couple said that this assistant librarian has come there on a number of occasions in the company of Samantha (Kevuma) to meet them and that she gave the impression that she was his lover. 

This female has come in July last on the date hen the rent was to be paid and police are conducting further investigations to check whether she actually is someone connected to underground activities. In the meantime the owners of the house have been released by police yesterday as they were found not having any links with underground activities.
