New Zealand attack ... identified as terrorist attack -- Bangladesh players inside bus at time of shooting
International media has by now named the shooting incident which took place today in two Muslim mosques in New Zealand as a 'terrorist attack'. The reason for it is that it had been launched by a group of white extremists and is an instance of 'white supremacism'. New Zealand lady prime minister has said, "There is no room for 'extremists' in our country as well as in the world ... I am shocked by this incident", while Australian prime minister Scot morrison says that he regrets that there is an Australian among those taken into custody.

The Bangladesh cricket team had been travelling to Christchurch for the Test match to commence tomorrow and were on their way closing in upon the mosque for the afternoon worship session and before getting down from the bus, had heard the gunshots and had darted across a park and gone to safety from the place of attack, it was later reported. If at all the Bangladesh players were inside the mosque at the moment of firing, the situation would have turned for the worse. A spokesman has said that they have been lucky to get away from it. It was reported across Twitter that the team had been shocked by this incident. In any case authorities have taken steps to suspend the matches after this incident.
49 persons have by now lost their lives from the Christchurch attacks, it was confirmed. It was informed that 20 people were wounded. Police were able to diffuse 2 car bombs. The incident of shooting took place around 1.40 in the afternoon in two mosques close to each other. The attack on Al Noor mosque was carried out by 26 year old Australian national, Brenton Tarrant within the space of a period of 16 minutes.
What he did was fix a 'live' video on his facebook account through a go-pro camera attached to his head. What was implied by words written in white on the weapons used by him were anti Muslim expressions used in Christian religion battles called Crusades of Middle Ages of history.
At the time he entered the mosque, it is understood that there was a crowd somewhere between 300 to 500. The video has captured scenes of the assailant parking his vehicle on a side and taking the weapons with him and having shot those who were inside had come back once more and taking further weapons and starting his shooting activity again and it is also recorded how he leaves the location without any obstacle. Later the police took Brenton into custody.
The second attack on Linwood mosque was staged not by one person but by a group, police had found out. It has been reported that during that attack the police had opened fire on them. Though 2 bombs were set up at that spot, those were later diffused. Though three individuals supposed to be linked to the attack were arrested, it was subsequently realised that they have had no hand in the attack with only one of them being released. Presently one female and a male only are under custody. As such, the total number already taken into custody in relation to today's attack are 3 and not 4.
Brenton who was instrumental in launching this attack was incidentally someone who has posted various matters in his facebook accounts of an anti Muslim nature. It was reported that he had released an 84 page manifesto too and in that document he has expressed notes relating to the 'white genocide conspiracy theory' which refers to points that white extremists often is based on arguments in that respect.
After the onslaught targeted at two Muslim mosques, Los Angeles police have issued a Twitter message to the effect that they have strengthened security around Muslim mosques are situated in Los Angeles, America. Authorities have taken measures to cancel the third Test scheduled to begin tomorrow (16) between New Zealand - Bangladesh as a result of this shooting incident.
Prime minister of New Zealand had stated that this incident which transpired today has tarnished the image of that country which enjoyed a reputation as one of the peaceful countries in the world. Prior to this a mass murder of this type had taken place before this on an attack on a prison camp in 1943 in which instance the casualties numbered 49.
