Nadeemal Perera taken into custody in Colombo

Having arrived in this country after being expelled from Dubai this morning (27), Nadeemal Perera, son of vocalist Amal Perera was detained by Criminal Investigation Department for purposes of interrogation and was subsequently released approximately at 3 pm. The prison officer who detained him has handed him over to Colombo Crime Unit for further inquiries.

Two suspects from among 31 suspects kept under detention after being arrested at a party thrown by
underground leader, Makandure Madush recently in Dubai were ordered to be released from detection and expelled from that country. 

The two of them are singer Amal Perera's son Nadeemal Perera (24)and a former prison employee, Lalith Kumara Kodagoda (52). As allegations against being minimum where they are concerned ... this decision has been arrived at, it is learned. The two of them have been sent to this country last night on Fly Dubai FZ 547 flight and after they arrived this morning at Katunayaka Airport, they were taken into custody by Sri Lanka police. 

Police records say that they are to be produced in court for purposes of detaining them for further interrogation. In the meantime, it has been decided to keep under prison bars 29 suspects including Madush, underground leaders and accomplices Ryan van Royan and Amal Perera.
