Police officer depressed over lost love ... shoots himself dead inside Maharagama police canteen!

It is reported of an incident where a police constable has committed suicide this morning (28) in Maharagama Police Station premises by shooting himself dead. 

This police constable who was attached to traffic division of Maharagama Police Station has around 9.45 this morning shot his head with the duty firearm at his disposal while near the canteen of the
police station. 

The deceased is Dissanayaka Mudiyanselage Manoj Dissanayaka aged 29 years living at the address of No. 811, Thalawa, Anuradhapura. Because of a romance going on the rocks he has been in a depressed mood, it has been reported. The dead body lies at Kalubowila Hospital mortuary and the autopsy is expected to be carried out today. Maharagama Police are conducting further inquiries in connection with this incident.
