Tele drama actress Nethu Priyangika entered into marriage recently. She took the hand of Nuwan Galappaththi who is a police officer by profession. He was the police officer who charged her with a fine for having violated traffic laws on one occasion. With the dialogue that ensued that moment the friendship that developed, finally ended up in romance and culminated in marriage and how it so took place was revealed to the media by her
sometime back. 

"There is a story no that you finally find the person you are destined to. I also may have found my destined person that way. But our meeting and which dragged on thereafter is like a film. It is over three years now since our romance blossomed. I did not imagine that our romance will go as far as marriage.

He is actually a police officer. His name is Nuwan Galappaththi. I met him in Kandy. When I was on my way to Kandy one day I violated traffic rules and he handed me a a paper fining me. Actually he recognised me that time as an actress. But just because I was an actress he did not take my side as such. On that occasion he carried out the law to the dot and fined me. That way he was so strict. 

After some time passed, he may have not found it difficult to me on facebook. It was later that he sent me a message as 'Hi!' It was with that our connection started. I also was thinking in my heart about him ... was waiting that he will speak to me one day. Now I have to settle the fine right throughout my lifetime. (Smiles)

We told our home people after about an year later since we got friendly. I lost my mother when I was small. But my father and two elder brothers never let me feel the absence of my mother. After we informed home people on both sides, we got blessings from both parties. Though I wedded I have no idea of leaving my field of acting. My husband Nuwan is more interested in my career than I am. If by chance I miss my acting activities ... it is Nuwan who spurs me up".
