Most popular awards at Sumathi Awards Festival go to Ravin - Shalani and best awards to Shyam - Nadee  

2018 Sumathi Awards Festival was held yesterday (29) at Colombo Nelum Pokuna theatre for the 23rd time. Ravin Kanishka was crowned the the Most Popular Actor while Shalani Tharaka was crowned as the Most Popular Actress while the the Most Popular Tele-drama of the Year was awarded to 'Ape Adare'. Jackson Anthony clinched the award as director of the Best Tele-drama 'C Raja' while Syam Fernando claimed the Best Actor's Award in the role played in 'C Raja' and Nadee Kammellaweera was awarded the Best Actress award for the role she played in the teledrama 'Bedde Kulawamiya'. The Best Supporting Actor's Award went to Jagath Chamila while the Best Supporting Actress Award was won by Nirosha Talagala.
