Householders bury another person's body, thinking that it is daughter's who was roaming with her lover!

Parents of a house in Kalutara area had become agitated because their daughter had not turned up at their home for a number of days and had finally complained to police.

What caused anxiety was that this 28 year old mother of 1 child had disappeared from home with her child and had thereafter not returned and no information either had been received. having received

news about a female dead body which was found floating in Kalu ganga and after being taken ashore was ling at Nagoda general hospital recently, the parents had visited the hospital to inquire about it and they had identified the corpse as belonging to their daughter. As such, the body was brought home and had later been buried, expressing great sorrow on the death. They had not received any information about what happened to her child either.

Whatever it is, after a few days the daughter had turned up at home in the company of her child, thus bringing unexpected surprise to everybody in the process. After coming to know everything of what had transpired, what she had said was that she had put up at lodging-places in Nuwara eliya with a youth whom she had come to know through the Imo channel and the attachment she had developed subsequently. She has also revealed that she returned home after 25 days once more after severing the connection she thus developed.

The police then understood that the corpse of the unidentified woman which had been floating on Kalu ganga had therefore belonged to somebody else and an open verdict had been issued with parts of the dead body being directed to the government analyst. As such, the buried body would be exhumed and examination procedures in that connection isexpected to be carried out in future.
