The female by the name of Amendra aged 38 years whom Victor is supposed to have married had been employed in a bank (presently not employed) and it is understood that Victor had carried on a romance with her for a period of 9 years. He had been living in his daughter's home until last February and on his 75th birthday he had registered himself with this marriage. By now they are living in Victor's house in Athurugiriya, it is learned.

Though his sons have pointed out that Victor Ratnayaka who carved a name for himself as a reputed singer in this country while having descendants of 3 generations thus getting married to a woman who is less than half his age tantamounts to damage caused to the dignity of their family, Victor has embarked on this new marriage by remarking, "You'll are not my children ... I have no children ... will attach myself only to music activities". After the children were discarded by Victor in this manner, they have been grieved and upset and have come into the conclusion of not keeping this a secret anymore. Their allegation is that the woman concerned has duped Victor and has been greedy for the vast riches and wealth he possesses.
