It's true I took vehicles from Wimal ... but we rendered a service, which is not considered -- Lal Kularatna (Malli hari malli)

Information was published in the list of misappropriation of vehicles by former Minister Wimal Weeravansha that Lal Kularatna, an artist and a member of Jathika Nidahas Peramuna had been given vehicle Nos. HK - 8877 and KT - 2884 for use, as reported some time ago.

Among artistes who paid a visit to see Wimal was artiste Lal Kularatna who became popular as 'Malli

hari malli'. On that occasion he addressed the media and said that his name too is mentioned in the list of misappropriation of vehicles and that it is true that he got the vehicles; but that there is no mention of the services rendered at that time by securing those vehicles.

This is what he said: "As artistes we see this as total political revenge. That list says that I too had taken vehicles; but I have given a statement ... saying what was done after securing those vehicles according to that staff. However we have done a big service for 4 years by using those vehicles. It's understood by that that this is something that's done for political necessities. On the other hand there are enough of people in this government who cheated and swindled. They are living scot-free. When those who are responsible for this case are on the other side of the government ... they are not taken into custody". This video, from below
