DS Ordinary level  student complains on Retired Major General Kamal Gunaratne

A student in the GCE Ordinary Level class in DS Senanayake Vidyalaya had complained to the  small complaints unit of the Cinnamon gardens police station  on the 17th instant that retired army Major General Kamal Gunaratne had assaulted him in front of the school.

The incident had taken place when the student had returned back after writing to a question paper.

The closest reason for this assault according to the student is that he has had a grouse with another student in another school to whom the Major General has a relationship.

A senior office of the police had said that this conflict would be investigated into.

On an earlier instance this student had about this assault to the Ravaya newspaper.The Major General had refuted this allegation to a web site sayigf he had been abroad during that time.
