Shoot President sacked from SLFP
It is reported from the sources of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party that the former Minister of external affairs Professor GL Peiris has lost his membership from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.In this connection the general secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Duminda Dissanayake had quipped that in terms of the constitution of the party no member is allowed to hold any position in another political party.
Accordingly the membership of Professor GL
Pieris who had been appointed a President of another political party Sri Lanka Common Alliance would be automatically removed from the membership of SLFP.
In this context according to Minister Duminda Dissanayake the general secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party the membership of the former Minister GL Peiris in the SLFP ceases automatically.
