TOYOTA  PRIUS 2016-2017 model cars recalled again

The TOYOTA company has revealed that owing to some faults that  have been found in a few TOYOTA PRIUS hybrid cars that were imported a further 340,000 units of this hybrid vehicle would be imported..The vehicles that had been identified with  defects are  said to be those

manufactured between August 2015 and October 2016.

The defect has been found in the winch platform (hoist).It is reported that 94000 such vehicles out of 210,000 vehicles imported to America from Japan have had this defect.

With regard to such stocks the Toyota company had informed officially to the respective importers in all countries.

However the representatives of the Sri Lanka vehicle importers association has informed that this issue is not relevant to us.
