Approval of National school Director refused  by Principal of Anula Vidyalaya as child is catholic

It is reported that the on two occasions the approved school admission  application of the National school's Director to grade 3 student at Anula Vidyalaya had been refused by the Principal of Anula Vidyalaya. In order to  air her views she and
the respondents have been noticed to be present at the Appeal  Court to record their reasons.

Because of this. unfair attitude of the Principal the petitioner had appealed to the courts as his daughter had been deprived of a school for three months and has had to remain at home.. Conidering the appeal the authorities of the Appeal courts had summoned the Principal and the respondents to air their views.This notice has been issued to the Principal PN Rajapaksa, the secretary of the ministry of education,the director of national schools director, minster of education ,attorney general as respondents.

The authorities of the ministry of education had accepted the fact that while fulfilling all requirements his daughter had not been admitted to Anula Vidyalaya,Nugegoda even after instructions had been given by the national schools director to admit her to grade 3.

The petitioner had disclosed in this appeal that owing to this reason she had been removed from her previous school. The Principal of Anula Vidyalaya,Nugegoda had refused admission as the girl was a catholic.
 The Principal had added to the petitioner's wife  that if the the national school director approves once more she would admit her.On the instructions of the national school director both parents had to give two  affidavits to the  affect that the girl in question should attend Buddhism classes on admission to the school. Even after these requirements were fulfilled the Principal had refused her admission to the school.

All these facts had been stated in the appeal submitted by the petitioner.
