Final Year student of Colombo Medical Faculty ... mysteriously found dead in room!
A Final Year Medical student of the Colombo University has been found mysteriously dead this morning in the hostel room.
Friends of the deceased who were staying at the Medical Students' Hostel with him had not seen him for some days and they had noticed a foul smell
emanating from his Room No: 96 and on suspicion had made some inspection. What they then saw was that he was lying dead on the bed in the room. Near his bed were 10 saline bottles, a small vial and a note he had written for the last time, the police were able to discover. According to the note it could be an instance of suicide, the police suspect. It is also reported that he had spent his time in mental distress in having had to sit for his exam several times because he had been unsuccessful at previous exams. It was revealed at investigations that he had also been suffering from some illness for a long period of time.

The deceased student is 27 year old Charinda Seneviratna studying in his Final Year at the Medical Faculty and is a resident of Yalakumbura area in Bibile. The post mortem on the corpse is scheduled to be conducted.
