Younger sister's ridicule causes the elder sister to commit suicide

In the Nelliaddy Punnalai area in Jaffna , a 17 year old school girl owing to been ridiculed by her sister had committed suicide on the night of the 10th by hanging .The Nelliaddy police has reported.

The 17 year old who had committed suicide is one

Sandya.Her father is not living and mother is abroad.

On the 09th instant the 17 year old sister had returned home from school.She had removed her gold necklace on the bed and when she returned the gold necklace had been missing.The younger sister had hidden it somewhere else and frightened her..

In the meantime the younger sister had called her mother who is abroad and had conveyed that her elder sister had misplaced her gold necklace.The mother had scolded her over the phone.

The elder sister who had been disgusted and though fear had committed suicide in the night by strangulation
