Dematagoda Chaminda had screamed not to take him to Mahara prison owing to inmates there who are rival elements

One of the  convicted criminals in the Bharatha Lakhsman Premachandra murder case Dematadoda Chaminda was sent to serve his life sentence to the Pallekelle prison.As Dematagoda Chaminda  need to be brought to Colombo for other court cases

that are pending the prison authorities had decided to transfer him to Mahara  prison.

On Hearing that Dematagoda Chaminda had screamed saying " mege oroppu porawal innawo, mata Maharats yann beriyo".Hence the decision to transfer him to Mahara prison had been cancelled by the prison authorities.

Dematagoda Chaminda  had added that he has some furious enemies in the Mahara prison who are desperately contemplating in taking his life.If he is transferred to Mahara they  would take revenge from him and hence it is not prudent to transfer him to Mahara.
