Telephone calls to Temple Trees and the Presidential secretary on day of the Thajudeen murder deleted

On the night of the day after the tragic death of rugger player Wasim Thajudeen took place near the Shalika grounds Narahenpita it is reported that the  suspicious calls received by the then Officer in Charge of the Narahenpita police station Demein Perera from Temple Tress and the Presidential
secretariathave been deleted.This has been revealed by the officers of the criminal investigations department holding investigations. This information has been disclosed to the  additional Colombo magistrate Nishantha Pieirs by the officials of the CID on the 24th instant..

It has also been revealed by the officials of the criminal investigations department  to the Additional Magistrate that the persons responsible for the recording of the telephone messages at the Temple Trees and the Presidential secretariat at that time have now left the services at these places.

These information have been revealed by the additional secretary of the Presidential Secretariat Anil Wasantha Wanigasuriya and the general manager of the Presidential secretariat Janaki Mallikarachchi.

However the officials of the criminal investigations unit have revealed that they would make investigations on these employees attached to the telephone systems who had left the services.
