Bandula Gunawardena to resign from the post of SLFP organizer, Homagama seat

It is reported that the Member of Parliament Bandula Gunawardena is contemplating on resigning from the post of SLFP organizer of the Homagama seat. He had stated this while attending to a ceremony in the Homagama area today the

21st instant.

The letter of resignation in this regard he intends handing over to the President tomorrow the 22nd instant.

It was reported that the SLFP organizer for Matara. Dallus Alahapperuma had also wanted to tender his resignation from his post as organizer. It is learnt that when the President of the SLFP had removed several members of the SLFP the others left in the joint opposition had wanted to tender resignatiion from their posts as well.

It is learnt that after the 65th annual convention of the SLFP several other changes within the party are to take affect.
