Nalanda teacher beaten by students in hospital

A group of students a Nalanda College Colombo had planned an attacked a teacher of their school. He had been admitted today to the National hospital in Colombo for treatment. The teacher who had been a victim of this assault is Susantha Herath of the tutorial staff.

The teacher Susantha Herath had received injuries to his back and abdomen. It is reported that the closest reason for this assault had been because he had given the leadership to the faction who had opposed the allegations aimed at the Nalanda principal for corruption.

The principal of the Nalanda College Wasantha Ranjith Jayasundara had been reported to the commission of bribery and commission for corrupt activities by this teacher Susantha Herath.

In this context he suspects that the principal’s faction may have made this assault as there had been threats to him in the past.This the teacher Susantha Herath had made in his complaint to the police.
