Meegahatenna new students have been chased away accusing for recruiting forcibly by Thevarpperuma
It has been a much talked about the incident that occurred with the admission of the nine students to the Meegahatenna primary school.
It has now been reported that the deputy minister Palitha
Thevarapperuma and the parents of the nine children for whom the satyagraha was held have been remanded by the police. Although from the legal aspect it would have been reasonable but with the treat of committing suicide had been a matter not human was the view of many.
These 09 children are too young to remain at home without their mothers and it is learnt that some children do not any caretakers to look after. What is said that these children have fallen from the frying pan to furnace?
The education authority of the western province area Ranjith Somawansa has stated that these children have not been admitted in a proper manner. Hence they are deemed to be illegal entrants to the school and they be dismissed immediately.
In the alternative 05 of these children are to be admitted to the Thalpediwela junior school while the other 04 are to be assigned to the Bothalawa vidyalaya.
The minister of education had summed up this episode as bringing a black mark to the primary school education and caused a incorrect precedence to the children.
