Several MPs sick - Speaker, Kavinda and 5 others at Nawaloka
About 8 MPs are taking treatment having been admitted to hospitals in a peculiar manner as a result of various ailments including a virus fever condition
these days, it is reported.
The Speaker Mr. Karu Jayasuriya and 4 Members of Parliament had been admitted to Colombo Nawaloka Hospital by evening yesterday (23) and are stationed there undergoing treatment. The said MPs are Dallas Alahapperuma, Dr. Kavinda Jayawardena, Nalaka Kolonne and Chaminda Wijesiri. It is something special to note that several MPs are taking treatment at the same hospital and because close politicos of theirs had visited them to inquire about their health the hospital has been filled up with security personnel and political confederates.
In the meantime 3 other MPs who displayed a sickly condition have had arrived at Nawaloka Hospital yesterday (23) afternoon. However as there was no room in the hospital news is received that they had to be taken to another private hospital.
