Professor Patrick Ratnayake to courts for the offence of assaulting a student whose mobile phone been misplaced

 A complaint has been made by a university student in the Kelani University that after he was assaulted by a professor and a Lecturer his mobile telephone had got misplaced. For this

complaint the Professor and the Lecturer had been summoned to courts.

The  University student a third year student from Gonahena, Dhanushka Maduranga had complained to the police that when he had gone to meet the  Chancellor of  the  human rights  faculty to discuss a matter related to administration ,Professor Patrick Ratnayake  and two  Lecturers Thisara Tharupathy Munasinghe and  Upul Jayantha who was with the  Chancellors of  the human rights faculty  had argued  with him and  assaulted him. In the process he had misplaced his mobile phone. All three were produced before the magistrate

The Magistrate had studied the case and postponed the case to the 13th instant. The Professor and the two Lecturers were released on bail.
