Prime Minister stops temporarily the importing of new vehicles for MP’s

The other day it was proposed to allocate Rupees 118 billion to import new four wheel drive vehicles for the Members of Parliament. The Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe has instructed to suspend this proposal.

Prime Minister had instructed the treasury on the 09th instant to suspend this proposal until  financial relief measures to those who were affected by the fire and blasts at Salawa Kosgama are given which becomes a priority.
