Businesswoman who had pilfered valuable articles from Subadramaya temple nabbed

It is reported that a number of immense valuable articles belonging to the Kotte Subadramaya Buddhist temple had been  found missing from the Temple’s Viharaya. The valuable items that had vanished from the Subradramaya temple had been as added by the Chief
Incumbent in the recent past were two Buddha statues, a casket and other valuable items .

In this regard a clue about the person suspected in this regard had been informed by the Chief Incumbent of the temple to the Welikada police authorities. In this regard a 35 year old wife of a businessman, a resident of Thalapthpitiya has been suspected. The officers of the Welikada police had raided the house of this businesswoman and had recovered the lost valuable items that had been taken away on the sly by her from the Viharaya of the temple.

According to the Chief Incumbent of the temple this devotee had been regularly comes to the temple to participate in Buddha poojas and other religious activities. She had at times requested the Chief Incumbent to open the door of the Viharaya for her to go in.
In order to recover the lost valuable items the Chief Incumbent had even given the number of her motorcycle on which comes to the temple to the Welikada police.
