A Sri Lankan proposed to a seat in the Australian Senate




It is reported that for the first time the name of a Sri Lankan living in Australia is to be proposed for a seat in the Australian Senate.


A resident of Australia Jagath Bandara has been proposed for the South New South Wales for the Labour party.

Jagath Bandara has received nominations to contest from the Labour party for his efforts in the past to uplift the living standards of those engaged in Labour jobs with dedication.
The election is to be held on the 02nd July.
