The Minister of Education has ordered the schools affected by rain to be closed

It is reported that in certain areas owing to the prevailing inclement weather certain schools have been encountered with certain practical issues to conduct classes.

The Minister of education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam had instructed the Zonal  and

Regional education authorities to use discretion and close all such schools until the rains ceases and conditions come back to normal.

In this regard the related Principals should communicate with the related authorities of the Zonal/ Regional educational offices arrive at decisions.
