Mahinda has claimed the air fare to Uganda from the government
The director general of the ministry of fiance AL Ratnapala has said that the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa had made a request in writing for the air fares to Uganda be paid by the government as this trip to Uganda is considered as diplomatic visit which was extended by the government of
Uganda to participate in the searing ceremony of the president of Uganda.
This request had been accepted by the minister of Foreign Affairs Mangala Samaraweera who had responded to an invoice of RS 450,000/ of the Sri Lankan Airlines.
How it is reported that other expenses for accommodation and other incidental expenses would not be paid by the government.The expenses of the others members who accompanied Mahinda Rajapaksa Viz Dhanasiri Amarathunga,Gamini Lokuge and others have been borne privately by them individually it is learned.
