Chandrika meets Samantha Powell in USA
The former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge had visited the United States of America.During her visit she had make the Permanent Representative of the United Nations
Organization Samantha Powell.
The meeting between Chandika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga and Samantha Powell had been arranged at the Sri Lanka's United Nations operations office in New York.During the meeting Samantha Powell had vouched for the fact to help Sri Lanka in economic development.
The officials of the American Embassy had added that there had been long discussions between the two in regard to the prevailing challenges and the manner to overcome them via development and reconciliation.
During the long discussion the permanent representative of the United Nations Organization Samatha Powell hag added that when she met the relatives of those missing persons in North and East she was able to grasp the problems facing the country. She had also said about the other areas that need to be addressed which she had observed.
