Kusal Janith Perera cleared of doping charges!
The incident of Sri Lankan cricketer Kusal Janith Perera being subjected to match suspension over the allegation of using banned substance has come to an end and has been freed from all allegations, the ICC had finally decided. This was announced at about 11.45 last night Sri Lankan time and what is mentioned there was that there was
no strong evidence as such to hold himself responsible as having taken prohibited substances. It has been stated that after having scrutinised the drugs he had taken as revealed by Qatar examinations, one by one, this new decision has been arrived at and has thus been announced. It has further been mentioned that points brought forward by the batsman's lawyers too have been taken into account when arriving at this change in decision.
Because of this issue Kusal Janith Perera was subjected to suspension from matches since last December 15th and his match suspension was removed being announced as 'with immediate effect'. As such, if it deems that he is required for the forthcoming England tour, accordingly he could be given an opportunity to participate by the Selection Board.
