Kelani undergrads protest demanding the release of ragging colleagues

About 400 students attached to the main student union of the Kelani University had grouped together and protested in the Kiribathgoda town demanding the release of those students

remanded claiming that  the rights of those students.

The 400 strong student procession carrying placards had wanted the student suppression by the authorities and the government be stopped.The students who took part belonging to the main student union.

The police had taken into custody students who had been staging the rag of the new students.The undergraduates of the main student union had blamed the government for this action and were carrying placards urging the authorities to release the students in custody.
