For absconding police Magistrate,Thilina Gamage served with summons

The  related authorities of the Colombo Magistrate courts have issued a warrant to  additional Magistrate Thilina Gamage on the 18th instant to appear before the criminal investigation unit for having had a fictitious document in the form of a certificate in keeping in his possession a

baby elephant.

The related authorities of the criminal investigations unit had informed the Magistrate of the Colombo Magistrate courts that twice the officers had tried to obtain a statement from Thilina Gamage in regard to possessing a baby elephant without a valid permit.But each time he had evaded in furnishing the report.

Hence in this regard the additional Magistrate had been served with summons to appear before the officers of the criminal investigating unit to give a report on this matter.

This request made by the CID had been accepted by the Chief Magistrate of the Colombo Magistrate courts and accordingly the summons had been issued to the additional magistrate Thilina Gamage.
