enacted by a mother who had sat on the ground with a child in her care in front of the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.

This child was blind in one eye and was short of hearing in one ear and having considered him as a disabled child was isolated from other normal children. Later his mother had notified about it to the President's Office and secured a school for the child. However, he had been removed from that school too in a few days. The mother had staged a protest with her child under the scorching sun in front of the President's Secretariat adjoining the Galle Face esplanade with the motive of placing her plea against injustice and thereby was able to draw the attention of the media.
