Mahinda leaves suddenly to Thailand
This morning at 7.30 am the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa had left to Bangkok
Thailand on a Sri Lanka airlines flight.
This is the first time he had left overseas after his defeat in the presidential election in January 2015.Mahinda Rajapaksa had been accompanied by former Minister of foreign affairs GL Peiris.
The reason to visit Thailand Bangkok has not been revealed and no information has been received on the purpose of his visit either.
