Another explosion at Norochcholai

Another explosion at Norochcholai, no damage to the main system

It is reported that on the 12th instant once again the power generation from a coal power plant has failed.

The reason had been attributed for the fact that an explosion had occurred in the coal power plant.Although this failure had been reported the power supply to the main grid has not been affected.

As it had been promised by the authorities of the Ceylon Electricity Board not to interrupt the power supply power cuts would not be made during these days.

In addition as the rains are continuing a continuous  power supply has been guaranteed by the related authorities of the CEB.
