Story of security officers of Independent Square ....
being interdicted
The rule enforced by the security unit prohibiting lovers at Independent Square was dismissed after the protest launched at Independent Square premises and subsequently
the mediation of the Deputy Minister Harsha.
the mediation of the Deputy Minister Harsha.
When enquiring into the said incident what appears to be is that that rule was not one enforced by the Department of Culture but one voluntarily put into force by the private Company which provided the security force. The two security officers who were involved in this dialogue had not reported for duties after this incident. Enquiring further, what was revealed was that since the two officers had served under their client, they had not been involved in the issue as such but since it would be a pressure for them to carry out duties in that location the two of them had been affiliated to another point to carry out duties.
Whatever it is, the said Company had taken stern action over the incident while services of director of operations had been suspended by now, it was reported. In the same way what sources of the Department of Cultural Affairs reveal is that the agreement signed by the government with this security firm would in the future be suspended and another Company would come into force for security activities at Independent Square.
