Dematagoda Chaminda wants to enter Nawaloka hospital

Dematagoda Chaminda alias Chaminda Ravi Jayanath who was shot by a rival group when he was taken back in prison bus from the courts had made a request that he needs to enter Nawaloka private hospital for further treatment.

In this regard a three bench judge panel of the High courts had requested the prison commissioner to take appropriate action according to the prison provisions .

The three bench judge panel  made this request to the prison commissioner when the attorney at law of the defendant Nalinda Indratissa made the judge panel aware of the request of the defendant.

The incident of shooting by a rivalry gang had taken place when Dematagoda Chaminda was taken in a prison bus from the magistrates courts to the Welikada prison with police escort in addition to the prison security.The attorney at law had requested the three bench  judge panel that there are pieces of bullets are still embedded in Dematagoda Chaminda's body which needs to be removed while he is in Nawaloka or the Colombo hospitals ltd.For this purpose he is to be admitted.
