A teacher hospitalised after been stoned by a student

The Chilaw police has reported that a student had last afternoon stoned a teacher.As a result of the injuries sustained has been hospitalised at the Chilaw district hospital.

During a student parade the teacher in question had advised the students to march in a straight line. One student in retaliation had stoned the teacher.The teacher had related the incident to the hospital police post.

The teacher who in the tutorial staff of the Ananda National School is Chamil Jayasekara. It is told that this teacher is a popular maths teacher of private classes in the Chilaw area.

It is reported that the mother of the student who is accused of stoning the teacher is a Principal of a school in Muhuduwatawana  area in Chilaw. The Chilaw police is conducting inquiries into this incident.
