Thilanga to head chair at SLC, Arjuna loses

In the Sri Lanka Cricket elections Thilanga Sumathipala elected as the chairman in the elections concluded today the 3rd Sunday at the sports ministry premises. Thilanga Sumathipala had received 88

votes while Nishantha Ranatunga had received only 56 votes.

Accordingly Thilanga Sumathipala had been appointed to the head chair as the President of the ri Lanka Cricket for a period of two years.

As vice Presidents K Mathivan and former President Jayantha Dharmadasa had been appointed .For the post of secretary Mohan de Silva had been appointed from the same group of Thilanga Sumathipala.

Arjuna Ranatunga who had contested from the Nishantha Ranatunga faction had failed to be selected as a Vice President.
