The story that after an initial investigation and the interim report submitted by the Deputy Inspector General of Police Sabaragamuwa CD Wickremaratne  to the Inspector General of Police where 21

police officers at the Embilipitiya police station are to be arrested is fake in regard to the Embilipitiya incident i was revealed by the police media spokesman Assistant Superintendent of Police  Ruwan  Gunasekera.The media spokesman had issued a media notice in this connection.

He had added that the interim report in regard to the death of Sumith Prasanna Jayawardena has been received at the IGP's office on the 17th instant. But there had been fake news published in several media on the 18th and 19th instants .There is no truth in those reports he had added.

However in regard to the death of Sumith Prasanna Jayawardena the full report has not been released and after which  the Magistrate  would  reveal  all details for the general public to know.
